Legacy Home Loans Welcomes Billy Winfree
Legacy Home Loans is pleased to welcome Billy Winfree to the team as a Mortgage Loan Advisor.
Since joining the mortgage business in 2000, Billy has been consistently recognized for his high level of production and superior customer service. Prior to joining the team at Legacy, he worked for Pinnacle Financial Partners and F&M Bank where he was ranked as a top producer every year since 2009. In addition, Scotsman Guide has ranked Billy as a top originator in the U.S. for most loans closed and/or top dollar volume for the past 12 years. Locally, he has received the Nashville Mortgage Bankers Association’s prestigious Top Producer of the Year award six times throughout his career. With an impressive career volume of over $1.5 billion in funded loans, Billy has established himself as one of the best in the business.

Billy has found success in the mortgage business for many reasons – most notably, his pledge to always put his customers first. He can attribute more than half of his annual production to repeat business from past clients and the referrals they have given. Billy’s goal is to simplify the mortgage process for his customers and make the home loan process easy to navigate. He and his team thoroughly educate their borrowers throughout the mortgage transaction so they fully understand their options and feel comfortable with their chosen loan program. Billy’s team of seven have a combined total of 77 years of mortgage experience. When combined with his personal experience, he and his team offer close to 100 years of mortgage experience to their clients. Billy is known for his ability to get loans closed in record time with minimal stress, as well as consistently providing competitive rate/cost structures.
Billy attended the University of Tennessee in Knoxville and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics. He grew up in the Middle Tennessee area and currently resides in Nashville with his wife and two children. Billy is very involved in his community, as well as his place of worship, West End Community Church. In his spare time, he loves exercise, playing golf and spending time with his family and friends.
